Why Validator exists
When artificial intelligence participates in creating or transforming a digital object, that involvement can be declared. The problem is preserving the declaration and later checking that it still corresponds to the protected object.
The problem
A transparency declaration can travel separately from the file, be modified or lose its relation to it. Validator gives that declaration a reproducible, verifiable technical form without trying to decide whether the declaration is true.
A cross-domain need
The same problem appears in research, public administration, creative work, business and publishing: who declares what AI involvement occurred, on which object, and under what level of human review.
Validator’s response
PTC structures the declaration. Validator creates and verifies its cryptographic correspondence with the protected object under the applicable profile. It can work with canonical textual content, exact files and official document references when the source file is unavailable.
What it deliberately does not do
Validator does not prove authorship, originality, material truth, legal compliance or good faith. Nor does it replace electronic signatures, timestamps, C2PA, provider markings or other provenance mechanisms.
